Eastbound to the Maritimes

August 23, 2024

On July 31, I left Hamilton Harbour eastbound for the Maritimes.  The Water Weaver is currently docked at the Port de Québec, Québec City, QC.  Instead of a written blog, I’ve put together a photo album following my route from Lake Ontario to Coburg, the Bay of Quinte and the Thousand Islands to Brockville, and the St. Lawrence River to Québec City.  Because of my travelling delays since late winter, the Water Weaver’s weather window has closed to safely navigate the very big waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence south to Nova Scotia and home to the Bay of Fundy and Saint John River.  The Expedition perseveres!  This week the Water Weaver will slide onto a trailer and travel south to Saint John, NB where we will launch and begin our final leg back home along the Wolastoq | Saint John River to Fredericton, NB.  Stay tuned!
